Oak Heritage Inc

NEW: Rustic Cherry & Rustic Oak Table Tops

One of ways we keep our table designs fresh is by constantly watching the market for new and emerging trends, and then offering the Oak Heritage version to our customers.  One of the latest things to hit the market that we’re now offering? Rustic table tops available on both our oak wood and cherry wood table tops.

What makes a tabletop rustic?  It comes down to board selection. Rustic tabletops include sapwood boards (which appear slightly lighter in color than standard boards), and boards that have small knots in them. The finished table top manages to look just the right amount of un-polished, and has a lot of character and dimension.

Rustic Smooth Top

Our rustic smooth top tables (pictured above) have boards that are glued together, then sanded down to the same level across the top. The finished top is smooth, and the joining of the boards seamless.

Rustic Plank Top

Rustic plank tabletops (pictured above) are those which are made using rustic style boards, and have distinction between the edges of the boards used on the top of the table. They are sanded and then glued together, do the edges of each individual board can be both seen and felt. Planking is a popular technique that lends itself to both country style and rustic style furniture designs.
